Lateral Buckling Snaked Laying Method for Long Distance Oil and Gas Subsea Pipelines

长输油气海底管线在温度和内压的作用下,可能会发生多个侧向屈曲,因此有必要建立合理的控制方案,保证管道安全,控制项目投资。对于蛇形铺设方案而言,确定最大允许锚固点长度(VAS)和蛇形铺设间距及长度范围是优化布置的关键。根据理论结果,给出了VAS的初步估算方法。同时结合有限元直管和曲管模型分析,提出最优蛇形布置方案的确定方法。所述方法可为海底管线工程中侧向屈曲控制优化提供参考。
Long distance subsea pipelines may be subjected to several lateral buckling under temperature and internal pressure loads. Therefore, it is necessary to establish rational control scheme in order to ensure pipeline safety and control project CAPEX. For optimization of snaked lay configuration, the key point is to specify the maximum allowable virtual anchor spacing (VAS) and buckling control pipeline length. Based on the analytical solution, the method of VAS calculation is proposed for preliminary estimation. More accurate results can be obtained by finite element analysis. With the straight pipe and snaked VAS pipe model, the VAS for snaked pipe lay and buckling control pipeline length can be investigated and the optimized snaked lay configuration can be established. The proposed method can be contributed to the optimization of snaked lay for lateral buckling control in subsea pipeline projects.
