文章宏观地论述了冲绳海槽新生代以来的岩石圈的构造演化,提出了冲绳海槽是欧亚板块东缘的独具地质风格的构造单元,一个俯冲型弧后盆地;琉球岛屿是欧亚分离出来的一部分,不是火山岛屿,而吐噶喇火山带则是火山岛弧,钓鱼岛隆褶带是残留火山弧;冲绳海槽的北段形成早、为被动拉张,而南段形成晚、为主动拉张;冲绳海槽未形成洋壳。

This paper described the evolution of lithosphere of Okinawa Trough since the Cenozoic, presented that the Okinawa Trough is one of the building unit of Euro-Asian continent, a subducting arc-rear basin. The Ryukyu island arc was not the volcanic island arc, but apart from the Euro-Asian continent, the Tugela volcanic belt is the volcanic arc and the Diaoyu island folded belt is the remnant volcanic arc. The north part of the Okinawa Trough was early formed, negatively pull-apart, and the south part of the Okinawa Trough forming later was positively pull-apart, the oceanic crust was not formed in Okinawa Trough.
