Asphaltene precipitation mechanism, experimental method, predicting model, influential factors and suppression method were studied, and the conditions of asphaltene precipitation were analyzed, and their advantages and disadvantages of the method predicting asphaltene precipitation were compared, further, modern research status and future development of asphaltene was pointed out.
