Abstract
Mixed sedimentations of clastic rocks and carbonate rocks are widely developed in the Upper Carboniferous Karawuyi Formation of Altash section in southwest Tarim. In this paper, the mixed sedimentations of the Upper Carboniferous Aarawuyi Formation in Altash section are studied in detail through field profile measurement and microscopic thin section identification. The study shows that the mixed sedimentary characteristics in the study area are sequence mixing of clastic rocks and carbonate rocks and structure component mixing of terrigenous clastic rocks and carbonate rocks. There are three types of mixed sedimentary sequence: clastic and carbonate rocks mixed sequence, clastic rocks and migmatite mixed sequence and carbonate rocks and migmatite mixed sequence. There are four types of migmatite: calcareous fine sandstone, calcareous siltstone, sandy bioclastic oolitic limestone and sandy bioclastic limestone. According to the petrological characteristics of migmatite and the characteristics of mixed sedimentary sequence, combined with the sedimentary environment at that time, the genesis and controlling factors of mixed sedimentation are discussed, and the mixed sedimentary model is established.
