Abstract
Carbonate gas reservoirs in the Xisha gas field in the Amu Darya Basin have diverse lithology, complex storage spaces, and well-developed pores and fractures, making it difficult to identify lithology and interpret physical properties of the reservoir. This study identified carbonate reservoir lithology based on core and logging data, established a carbonate rock physical property interpretation model, and evaluated carbonate gas reservoirs; the fracture indication curves were used to determine the effective fracture development section; the waveform indication wave impedance inversion technology was used to predict the favorable reservoir development range. This study summarized 12 types of lithology in 4 major categories, and the fractures have more influence on the reservoir. It is predicted that the whole reservoir is more developed. It is confirmed that there is a tight lithologic zone extending from southeast to northwest in the area, which plays a certain role in blocking the distribution of gas and water. The research results have a positive guiding effect for the development of the samilar gas fields.
