Abstract
Geosteering drilling is widely used in the landing of horizontal wells. The traditional geosteering technology, which completely relies on manual analysis, can not adapt to the current development trend of upstream E&P digitization and informatization. Therefore, the algorithm flow of landing process analysis for geosteering drilling is studied. The research is carried out from two aspects of target layer prediction and trajectory control calculation, and the method of using analysis chart to analyze landing operation is proposed. The analysis chart can combine geological prediction and engineering, and display them in the form of intuitive images, which is convenient for analysts to obtain the key information of landing operation in real time and realize the process control of landing operation. Simulation analysis shows that this method can realize automatic analysis and prediction of landing operation while drilling, which has higher accuracy than manual prediction. This study provides the basis for the optimization of horizontal well landing operation, reduces the operation risk and improves the efficiency of collaborative decision-making analysis, and has reference value for the realization of horizontal well landing operation and geology-engineering integration.
