Several wells of KLA oilfield have been drilled 10-20 meters thick oil layer in the coarse-grained Paleogene delta. The deep-buried reservoir and the poor seismic performance has seriously restricted the exploration and exploitation of this type of reservoir. By analyzing the core, well logging and seismic data, a stratigraphic framework was established and the paleogeomorphology was reconstructed after decompaction correction and paleobathymetric analysis. Based on the characteristics of slope angle, length and sedimentary facies, the study area mainly developed two delta system: steep gradient delta-turbidite system and low gradient coarse-grained delta system. The favorable reservoir of low gradient coarse-grained delta locates in the delta front, and the favorable reservoir of steep gradient delta system locates in the delta front and gravity current deposit. The boundary of delta front is depicted on the basis of paleotopography. In combination with reservoir architecture and forward modeling analysis, the seismic attribute is then optimized to predict the distribution of favorable reservoir.
