Abstract
Now the prediction methods of waterflooding development indexes neglect the property of plain heterogeneity and the development of the injection-production well group, resulting in a big difference between the predicted indexes and actual development indexes. Based on reservoir engineering theory, considering the interlayer and plain heterogeneity and injection-production well group, a prediction method of waterflooding development indexes for the multi-layer heterogeneous reservoir was proposed. First, the multi-layer heterogeneous reservoir is split by empirical formula. Then, each injection-production region is processed to be equivalent to a homogeneous unit. Finally, based on material balance theory and Buckley-Leveret waterflooding theory, the development indexes such as water cut and recovery of every unit are calculated. The indexes of the whole reservoir can be obtained. This method was applied to a reservoir model, and the development indexes were calculated by the established method and reservoir numerical simulator. Results show that the established method can obtain the development indexes simply, effectively and precisely, which can be used to predict development indexes for an actual reservoir.
