Effect evaluation of torsion impactor for increasing ROP in offshore deep formation

某海域A区块地质条件复杂,中深部井段地层岩性为花岗组灰色泥岩与粉砂岩、含砾细砂岩和中砂岩互层。钻井过程中可钻性差,钻头憋跳严重,机械钻速低。为提高钻井效率,在A3井深部井段采用扭力冲击器配合PDC钻头,开展了提高机械钻速的尝试。应用结果表明,该井的机械钻速比邻井提高了20%以上,有效减少了钻头卡滑现象,消除了钻头在井下运动时的不规则振动,延长了钻头使用寿命,同时为LWD等其他钻井工具的使用提供良好的工作环境。
The geologic condition in Block A is complicated and the rocks of middle and deep formation are grey mudstone and siltstone, pebbled fine sandstone intercalated with medium sandstone. In the process of drilling, the drillability is poor, the bit jumping is severe and ROP is low. In order to improve drilling operation efficiency, torsion impactor was applied with PDC bit in the deep formation of Well A3 as attempt to increase ROP. The application effect demonstrates that it improves the penetration rate by over 20% compared with adjacent wells, mitigated stick-slip effectively, eliminates irregular vibrations of bit working in downhole, prolonges the life of drilling bits and provides a comfortable working environment for LWD and other drilling tools.
