Abstract
During tubing-conveyed perforatin (TCP) operations in horizontal wells, stuck of pipe string after firing is likely happened. For TCP operations in horizontal wells with long perforating intervals, the probability of stuck of pipe string is greater because of the extreme long perforator string. Combined with the geological characteristics of DW Block in PG Gas Field, the research is performed on the main factors causing the stuck. Through selecting appropriate key perforating parameters, researching and developing low debris perforating charges and taking centralizing measures of perforating string, the risk of stuck during TCP operations in horizontal wells with long perforating intervals is greatly reduced. While being utilized in TCP operations for 4 horizontal wells with extra-long perforating interval in DW Block of PG Gas Field, one-time success rate of TCP was 100%. After firing, the friction of pipe string while pulling out was within normal range. For horizontal wells with long perforating intervals, reasonable perforating parameters, low debris perforating charges and other technical measures can effectively prevent perforator string from getting stuck after firing.
