断层封闭性对油气勘探与开发具有十分重要的影响,进行断层的封闭性分析具有重要意义。由于断层封闭的复杂性,目前还没有一种能解释各种断层封闭性的通用方法，在断层封闭性分析中存在着一些实际问题。文中分析了断层封闭性的主要影响因素与断层封闭效应之间的关系,提出了封闭性评价中可能遇到却容易被遗漏的问题及解决办法。认为在分析一条断层的封闭性时，首先应确定影响断层封闭性的主要地质因素，然后应用多种资料，采用多种方法进行多方面分析，才能得出正确的结论。

The sealing ability of fault has important influence on petroleum exploration and development. It is very important to analyze the sealing ability of fault. However, a general method that can be used to interpret sealing abilities of all kinds of faults hasn’t been found at present due to the complexity of fault sealing. Moreover, there are some practical problems.The relationship between the ability of fault sealing and some control factors on it is analyzed and discussed in this paper. Some problems and its solutions are proposed to interpret sealing abilities. It is believed that the major geological factors that influence the sealing ability of fault should be determined before analyzing the sealing ability of fault, and many kinds of methods and data can be used to draw a correct conclusion.
