Research Progress on the R esponse to the Tectonics and Sediment in Foreland Thrust Belt

Fo re land thrust be lt is the pr im ary reg ion for the
petro leum assem ble in the fo re land basin, wh ich is the m ost
d ifficu lt fields in the petro leum exploring. It is in
concom itance w ith the developm ent of the fo re land basin
explor ing based on the resea rch in the response to the
tectonics and sed im ent in foreland thrust be lt, and the
research degree w as advanced gradua lly a long w ith the
prog ress o f the exp lo ring theo ries and the technique m ethods.
Based on the research of a great dea l literatures and datum,
this paper rev iew s the investigation course and the current
prog resses o f the research in the response to the tecton ics and
sedim en t in foreland thrust belt, po inting ou t the key problem s
and the difficulties in current and hav ing the prospect o f the
prog ress trends in the future
