Study of Sequence Stratigraphy for the 3-6 Sands of Upper Guantao Formation in the Nor th of Western Area of Gudao Oilfield

The Guantao Fo rm ation in the no rth o f the western area
o f Gudao O ilfield is depo sited in them eandering stream under
the depression env ironm ent. According to stratig raph ic
sequences div id ing standard o fVa i,l the Ng3-6 sands in study
area can be div ided into three sequences, GS1, GS2 and
GS3, and 7 subsequences. GS1 on ly presen ted R cyc le, GS2
presented an integrated T-R cyc le and GS3 only presen ted T
cyc le. On the basis of the core observation and the g rain s ize
analysis and the log data identify ing, the sedim entary fac ies
in study area is m eande ring stream, and th is is d iffe rent from
trad itional idea,l bra ided stream. The sed imentary m ode l in
study area is sim ilar w ith class ica lm eander ing stream.
