Because o f the particu lar ity o f the positive rhy thm
reservo irs, the adopting of the routine m ethods is difficult to
atta in the expected results a fter the late deve lopm en t period,
and it is hard to d ig the reservoir potentia l too. On the bas is
o f ana lyzing the g eo log ic characte ristics of the fault-bo lck
reservo ir 􀀁 5 in Y angerzhuang O ilfie ld, th is artic le analyzes
the var ious controlling m easures used in the deve lopm ent
h istory from the running resu lts. According to the request o f
the 􀀁 Oilfie ld Deve lopm entM anagem ent Outline􀀁, we assess
the deve lopm en t results of the fault-b lock reservo irs. The
conclus ion of the surp lus o il d istr ibu tion has been obtained
through the use o f the reservo ir num er ica l sim ulation and the
deta iled reservo ir description techniques, and the study o f the
o i-lw ater m igration rules and the num erica l sim ulation o f the
bottom wa ter reservo irs. W e further establish the reservo irs􀀁
contro lling m easures, wh ich can be ca rr ied ou t under the
current techn iques. W e hav e put the m easures into practice
and obta ined the success. The a rtic le prov ides the he lp fo r
the study and the contro lling of the sam e type o f the reservo irs
in v iew o f inspec tation and production.
