The paper presents the production characteristics of
thermal horizontal wells and the research with numerical
simulation and field tests on the factors of geology , steam
injection and well completion impacting horizontal wells
production. The regular changes on pressure field ,
temperature field and saturation field of horizontal wells are
also presented. The new technologies of profile control ,
plugging seal off and mechanical sand control were taken to
control steam bypass and sand inflow of horiZontal wells in
heavy oil field production tail , with the result that oil
production was increased , which are experiences enhancing
the ratio of total producing oil of OOIP of heavy oil reservoir
in Lena oilfield and developing economically and reasonably
heavy oil reservoirs.
