Study on Fault Seal Ability in Xinkai and Shuangtaizi Area

运用FAPS 软件,对辽河盆地新开地区及双台子地区的2 条重要断层新开断层及双42 断层进行断层泥比率及滑抹因子计算,结合压力资料对2 条断层的封闭性进行分析,以指导该区的勘探部署。分析结果:新开断层封闭性好,对油气成藏有重要的控制作用;双42 断层封闭性差,不控制油气成藏。分析结果与地质分析及钻探实践吻合较好,证明该分析方法具有较强的实用性,值得在类似地区的勘探开发中进一步推广应用。
By FAPS software , fault gouge ratio and smear factor are calculated for Xinkai fault and Shuang 42 fault , which are two important faults in Xinkai and Shuangtaizi area of Liaohe basin. Combining with pressure data , seal ability of the two faults have been analyzed to guide the exploration in the areas. Analysis result shows Xinkai fault is better in seal ability , and plays an significant role in controlling oil and gas reservoir , Shuang 42 fault has poor sealing ability , and can not control the forming of reservoir. This analysis result coincides well with geological analysis and drilling practice , showing this method is very practical and worth of spreading in exploration of similar areas.
