The oil layers in Jimusar area are oil/gas reservoir of low and super-low permeability. In view of the geologic features and drilling characteristics of the reservoirs in this area, the concept of optimal reservoir stimulation’ is incorporated in the drilling program to optimize the design of horizontal well trajectory; through comparing and analyzing wellbore seismic data, lithologies and oil possibilities of offset well and pilot hole, and dynamically tracking hole trajectory control in horizontal section, the encountering rate of oil reservoirs is assured; through optimizing the drill bits and auxiliary accelerating tools, and establishing the sequence for this block and the allied accelerating technique, the fast drilling of the whole well is realized; through the analysis of of horizontal hole stability with logging data, and optimization of the drilling fluid system and its properties, the safe drilling of ?152.4 mm long horizontal section is realized. Finally, a set of optimal and fast dilling technology specific for drilling horizontal wells in competent reservoirs in Jimusar Depression is formed, which provides a solid technical guarantee for the development of the 1 billion ton in Changji Oilfield.
