High quality and high speed drilling technology in Russian Sakhalin-E Block

萨哈林E号区块是中俄油气勘探领域的首个合作项目,中俄联合作业公司在该区块先后钻探3口探井,该地区具有“高日费、高倾角、高含气”的“三高”特点,作业过程中遇到了地质情况复杂、地层倾角大、研磨性强、可钻性差、地层易漏失等问题,钻井难度大、施工窗口窄、风险高,一直制约着钻井速度的提高。为解决以上问题,有针对性地开展了萨哈林地区优快钻井多项技术难题攻关,形成了井身结构优化、复合钻进技术的应用、钻头优选、泥包的处理、钻井液防塌技术、优快钻井组织管理6项综合配套的优快钻井技术和经验,用此技术指导现场生产,提高了钻井效率,降低了钻井风险,为加快勘探开发工作提供了有效的钻井保证。
Sakhalin-E Block is the first cooperation project between China and Russia in oil and gas exploration. Sino-Russian Joint Operating Company has drilled three exploration wells in the block one after another. The region can be characterized by “three high”, i.e. high daily cost, high inclination angle, and high gas content. Problems of complicated geological conditions, large strata dip, strong abrasion, poor drillability, and serious strata loss are all encountered during operation. Drilling speed are always restricted by the great drilling difficult, shallow operation window, and high risks. To solve the above problems, multiple technological researches are carried out for high quality and high speed drilling in Sakhalin region, as a result six systematic technologies are developed, including the casing optimization, the application of compositing drilling, the bit optimization, the processing of balling, the anti-collapse drilling fluid technology, the organization and management of high quality and high speed drilling. All the technologies are applied to guide field production, enhancing the drilling efficiency, decreasing risks, and proving effective guarantee for speeding up exploration and development.
