Abstract
A research of water plugging for WZ11-4 oil field was developed in order to enhance the recovery efficiency and ease the platform backwater treatment. It is hard to plug water for the seesaw connection of the high level caused by gravel pack and screen completion.By studying field water distribution as well as water plugging experience of this field,a scheme to implement jointly chemical and mechanical water plugging in A15 well was proposed. This technique is to trip in blocking column and pack-off the upper zone unflooded. Then temporary blocking agent was injected through annular and separating board formed to protect the reservoir outside the screen. After that, blocking agent was filled in through blocking column, and the column was then left in the well to jointly plug water. The water cut decreased 25% but the oil stimulated for 1233 m3 totally after implementation. At same time, waste water disposal load was diminished for 9×104 m3.The successful application of this technique demonstrates that the jointly chemical and mechanical water plugging technology is advisable for bottom water bulk impulse reservoir and gravel pack completion wells to certain geological settings. It provides a totally new way of recovery enhancement for similar oil fields.
