ENHANCEMENT OF WELL LOGGING IS A MUST FOR THE NEW TRENDS OF OIL/GAS EXPLORATION

本文回顾了建国40年来,地质矿产部系统石油测井工作所走过的全部历程。在充分认识测井在油气勘探中的作用和地位的同时,简要地叙述了测井技术的发展过程。通过松辽、华北、江苏、四川及海上各含油气盆地所展示的测井实例,更充分证明了测井的重要作用。文章还扼要总结了建国40年来测井工作的一些经验教训,特别强调了在油气勘探新形势下强化测井工作的必要性。

The paper reviews the career that MGMR^* has gone through in the well logging exploration for petroleum in retrospect ever since the foun -ding of the People’s Republic of China. Based on a thorough investigation/assessment made on the role that well logging has played as well as its actual status in the oil/gas exploration, a brief account is made on the stages in growth of well logging technique in China. It is eloquently proved that what’s a significant role the well logging plays through the examples demonstrated of oil/gas bearing basins in Songliao> Huabei (N.China), Jiangsu, Sichuan and on offshore as well.In addition, some recommendable experiences and lessons learnr are succinctly summarized with respect to the well logging operation over the past 4 decades, laying stress on why well logging ought to by all means be enhanced so as to tailor it to fit the requirements arising from the new trends of oil/gas exploration.
