This paper elaborates the basic concepts and characteristics of the Minimum, structure solution, a normalized linear calculus in seismic inversion. Moreover, the paper expounds the calculus to extract constraints from different information sources, which is performed in the normalized linear inversion technique, And the effect of a series of meticulous preprocessing prior to inversion onto the inversion result is reviewed in detail. Also, the detailed rules to implement the inversion technique is put forward.
