摘要

本文较系统地讨论了地震勘探垂向分辨率的概念, 并根据文献资料及垂直地震剖面技术(VSP)的实例, 对纵波与横波的传播速度、频率、所能分辨的薄层厚度作了比较, 得出了横波垂向分辨率可能比纵波还要低的结论。

Abstract

This paper systematleally reviews definition of vertical resolutinn in seismic surveys. Based on the literatures in hand and some VSP data a comparison on propngation velocity, frequency, and resolvable thickness of thin beds between P- and S-waves is made to confirm that the vertical resolution of S-waves is probably lower than that of P-waves.
