Variable velocity DMO for coal exploration

煤田地震勘探中, 速度的纵向及横向变化是很大的, 所以变速DMO的运用是十分必要的。本文介绍了一种适用于煤田勘探特点、简便易行的时空域变速DMO方法──GardnerDMO技术。此方法对于陡倾角及构造复杂地区具有良好的应用前景。这种叠前部分偏移技术分为两步进行, 第一步是与速度无关的DMO处理, 第二步是与地层倾角无关的标准NMO处理。
In coal cxploration seismic velocities are often found to be vertically and laterally varied in so much that a processing called variabIe velocity DMO is in demand. In this paper Gardner's DMo is introduced which is supposed to be the best option to deal with the problem of ve locity variation due to its straightfoward properties and thc applicability to structurally-complexed areas with strata in steep dips. T his partial prestack migration technique is implemented in two steps:they are the DMO processing itself and a standard NMO processing which are independent of velocity and dip,respectively.
