Numerical modeling for seismic wave propagation via pseudospectral method

介绍了建立在弹性波方程基础上的伪谱法地震波传播正演模拟及其模拟结果。伪谱法的特点是用快速傅立叶变换(FFT)求解波动方程,数值模拟效率很高,其主要研究的是各向异性介质和层状介质中地震波传播的特征。相应的程序可用于均匀介质和不均匀介质中地震波传播的模拟。
This paper presents the forward modeling for seismic wave propagation via pseudospectral method and the modeling results. The characteristic of the pseudospectral method (PSM)is that it utilizes Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to calculate the second order spatial derivatives of displacements in wave equations, which makes PSM efficient for seismic forward modeling. The programs developed can work for forward modeling of seismic waves propagating in both homogeneous and inhomogeous. Numerical results show that pseudospectral method is a effective method for seismic wave modeling.
