地理信息系统是一种将地理空间信息同工程信息相结合的计算机应用工程系统。石油勘探描述的对象与地理信息密切相关,其中的数据图形信息以海量计,传统的管理方法已不适应现代要求。可利用地理信息系统技术开发油气勘探地理信息系统,通过建立数据库、图形库来存储与油气勘探相关的数据和图形信息,通过相应的软件模块来对这些信息进行科学管理、静态查询和动态分析,从而组成有利于油气勘探决策分析的信息系统。
Geographic information system (GIS) is a computer application system which combines geography information with engineering information. The information used to describe objects in petroleum exploration is closely related to geographical ones. Among it there is a large of data and graphical information that cannot be tackled with conventional manipulation. This paper proposes to use GIS technology to set up an oil and gas prospecting information system. Data and graphical information from oil and gas exploration are stored in database and graphical library, respectively. Therefore, an information system that is in favor of decision making for oil and gas exploration has been established which uses different modules to accomplish information management, static inquiry, and dynamic analysis.
