Abstract
In lithological reservoir exploration stage, the seismic attributes analysis mainly focuses on the storage capability and oil-gasbearing possibility. The seismic attributes analysis may verify the reliability of seismic inversion, reservoir prediction, and, at the same time, it may predict the possibility of oil-gas bearing of the target area according to the comparison with the known oil-gas bearing area and the seismic attributes matrix. The application of this method in Shengbei Sag of Turpan-harmy basin and Qianjiang Sag of Jianghan basin shows that the keys for seismic attributes analysis are the selection of seismic data volume, definition of the size of time windows for attributes extraction, interpretation of the top and bottom constraining horizons, preference of seismic attributes, and identification of geological signification of seismic attributes. More attention should be paid to the application of the seismic attributes for nonroutine data volume, such as impedance, well-log inversion, frequency division, waveform classification etc.
