In order to select most suitable method and parameters to carry out static correction, the statics calculated by
different static correction methods and parameters is often used to the same seismic data, and is judged in terms
of the quality of stacking profiles.Reasonable comparison workflow is very important for objective evaluation on
statics. Therefore,we analyze the factors influencing on the quality of stacking profiles related to static correction
,and point out that the quality of stacking profile also has close relationship with stacking velocity (stacking
velocity is also the function of statics). From this point,we propose more reasonable statics comparison workflow
,which adopts the stacking velocity fitting with its own statics. The analysis result shows that the stacking velocity
based on one set of statics maybe not suitable to the seismic data adopting the current statics, and the stacking
results maybe not represent the actual effect of the current statics. The relationship between statics and stacking
velocity is analyzed. Moreover,a method to modify stacking velocity by the contrast of statics is proposed, and
has been proved its feasibility by the application on actual data.
