The exploration and relevant research of TC Basin is still at the early stage, and its regional geologic structure and
formation distribution is not clear. We analyze outcrop and electric logging data, and establish the geological
models of lithology, formation density, magnetic susceptibility and resistivity in this area. Two comprehensive
(gravity, magnetic and electric) profiles obtained in 2010 are processed, and interpreted combined with regional
gravity data and previous work achievements.it is shown that:① areal faults control the pattern of basement
elevation/ depression and the pattern of Carboniferous sedimentary;② TC Basin displays “two depressions
interbedding one uplift”;③ two C-P residual subsidence zones is developed separately in the southern and
northern TC basin, that is Emin Depression and Coogee Depression;④ C1 is a set of clastic deposit widely
distributed with low resistivity characteristics as a potential hydrocarbon source rock;⑤ the distribution of C2-P1
volcano rock formation is more limited. The results indicate that Emin depression is relatively favorable zone for
hydrocarbon exploration and is suggested to carry out higher precision comprehensive geophysical survey.
